How do you know your life has drastically improved in only a few short days? By the number of times you've watched The Bold and the Beautiful in a week. For those who are counting, I've only seen it once this week. Yes, it's true. My life has changed, yet again, for the better for both me and Delaney. This going to the gym business has me all perked up and made me even happier than I already was.
We're having a blissed out day in the DD household. My cousin, E., came over this morning and we went to a yoga class. It felt so good to stretch and move and meditate. I forgot how much I love yoga. Delaney had fun again in the daycare and there were no tears. She's really adapted quickly to the two wonderful ladies in there, thank goodness. After our class we picked her up and the three of us went for Thai food (well, only two of us ate it...one will enjoy it a little later in a different form!). Now, Delaney is napping and I'm about to take a shower and then get some work done. E. is hanging out at the modern art museum around the corner from our house. He's a photographer and later today he's going to take some photos of me and Delaney. The only thing we've been missing today is R. and he'll be home from work soon. He's cooking a wonderful steak dinner for us tonight after Delaney goes to bed so we'll all get to hang out and talk.
I love spending time with E. He's seven years younger than me, but we're very much alike and we have great conversations and a lot of fun together. He is so good with Delaney. He's not sure if he wants kids or not, but I sure hope he has a child some day. He'll make a fantastic father. He's only here until Monday so I want to spend as much time with him as I can. I wish he lived here so we could spend more time together. I only get to see him every few years and that's not enough.
As if our day couldn't get any better, the weather has finally cooled off some which appears to have improved the moods of everyone I've come across today. Everyone's talking about it. It's such a welcome relief. They say it'll get hot again this weekend, but I can take 95 degree weather. That's what you sign up for when you live in South Texas. It's the triple digits in late September that offend me. I hope we don't see those again until middle of next summer. I'm ready for cooler weather. You know, 85, 90 degrees!
