BlogHers Act

Yeah, yeah, we all know money's tight. The economy is down, gas is up and people are steeling themselves for a frugal summer. But are you like me? Do you still allow yourself that weekly (ahem, daily) latte? What's $5 here or $10 there for a little treat, right? Well, according to Denise at flamingohouse.net, here's how giving up a bit of your pocket change every now and then can really help others:

"This morning, we spend $15 at Starbucks. We bought 2 Quad Grande Non-Fat Caramel Macchiatos and 1 Triple Grande Cinnamon Dulce w/whip.

* $15 also buys lunch for 50 girls in a West African village

* $15 can fund healthcare for medicine for 100 refugees in Darfur."

Visit Denise's site for more example's of how a little money can go a long way (hat tip BlogHer founder, Lisa Stone). It's amazing how just a little of the money we spend on fun and extras can help save people around the globe.

I'm making my donation today and I invite you to join me. Let's skip a latte or two and make a difference! Click on the widget below.
