I've voted in every election in which I was eligible but I've never felt as proud or hopeful as I did when I cast my ballot this year. I've never donated to a presidential (or any other political) campaign until this year. I've never put a political bumper sticker on my car or worn a political T-shirt or stuck a sign in my yard. I've never followed politics like I did this year. But that's what being a mom does to you. No matter who your candidate is, you find yourself with a vested interest in the outcome of the election. And the embodiment of those interests sit on your lap, looking up at you and believing that you can and will secure their future. I'm a Mama for Obama and I'm beyond proud to hand him the reigns and trust that he will work to make this country, and even this world, a better place for all of us and our children.
I sincerely hope this is a picture you'll be able to say was taken on the day we voted to change our world!

Cheers and thanks to you, Obama Mama -- from another one!
And over the years, Delaney and Way will have the positive example, as I did, of a politically informed and engaged mom working toward a better world!
